If you're an educator, director, aspiring actor, or a seasoned veteran of stage and screen, you can take advantage of Society of American Fight Directors (www.safd.org) stage combat training courses utilizing a variety of weapons and unarmed stage combat techniques, all taught by A2DT's own SAFD Certified Teacher, H. Russ Brown!
Only an SAFD Certified Teacher may teach a stage combat Skills Proficiency Test (SPT) class for adjudication by an SAFD Fight Master. These classes focus on specific stage combat disciplines with compulsory techniques in one of the 8 recognized SAFD weapon styles:

Each SPT requires over 30 hours of training that culminates in applying the required stage combat techniques to a performance of a dramatic scene containing a choreographed fight sequence, which the Fight Master adjudicates for safety, theatrical commitment, and believability within a dramatic context ..
